i'd suggest you go and read them. i didn't add anything new, i just clarified some things that apparently escape understanding. still, i'd suggest you all go read them over anyways, since i suspect a large number never read them in the first place.

this is what is going to happen, guys. and i'm sorry to do it, because a) i'd really like to think you can govern yourselves and b) it is going to take a lot of time and energy that i honestly would be better served spending elsewhere. but i'm that tired of the direction the forum seems to be going lately, so it's time for aggressive measures.

i've let rule violations slide for too long. we've done private messages, we've posted in threads, etc. pointing out the problems, but for whatever reason, a lot of people ignore them.

there's plenty of people signed up here, so i think thinning the ranks won't hurt zeo any. mods are going to be keeping track of things, and if enough of us see repeat problems from any given member, ban. the banned member may appeal by email to me. 500 words why you deserve to be let back in. depending on your case, you might get back in, but you might not. we used to send pm messages, and haven't found it did all that much good. you can all presumably read, and remember things, so go...right now...and review those forum rules.

personally, i'd rather not do this. i have too many other things going on, but i really don't know what else will really be effective. most of you don't need to worry about this, cause you already DO follow the rules. those of you who don't or won't, well....them's the breaks, i guess. i wish everyone who accepted the forum terms actually would honor the agreement and abide by them, but if they won't....it's best they find a forum that suits them better.

Wow, it's come to this. Some members need to eliminated (as brutal as it sounds), but it's nothing to cheer about. Some people see this site as an outlet, a creative expression, and sometimes get put down for it. Now, the question is for some of us is, how far can we go, and who's head is on the chopping block next?

people aren't going to be banned for coming here and voicing their opinion and such. it's the constant bickering and mindless arguing, along with the namecalling, disrespect, etc...that the mods and admins are targetting. it's to help ensure that anyone who wants to voice their opinion and talk about things can without having to worry about being flamed by someone else.

and as pure said, anyone who followed the rules in the first place have absolutely nothing to worry about.

I dunno about you, MM, but I listen to people who type with sense more than those who type correctly.... frankly, most people who are picky about typing online tend to be like that because it's their only strong point...

And it's a trivial point at that, considering how many unneccessary guidelines our language has got... I mean come on, using a different symbol just because you're starting a sentence? give me a break...
